Health Remedies - Burns

Product Categories

A burn is a type of injury to the skin caused by dry heat (like fire), wet heat (such as steam or hot liquids), electricity, chemicals, or radiation. Based on the depth and extent of burns, there are three types of burns. First-degree burns damage only the outer layer of skin. Second-degree burns damage the outer layer and the layer underneath. Third-degree burns damage or destroy the deepest layer of skin and tissues underneath.

Burns can cause swelling, redness, blistering and scarring of skin. The skin may also peel, appear white or charred (blackened), or feel numb. They also can lead to infections because they damage the skin's protective barrier. A burn may also trigger a headache and fever. In serious cases, it may cause shock and even death.
